Using either first person or third person limited narration, write a story about the adventures of a nonhuman animal that discovers how how to use social media. You can choose any platform, or make one up. The animal should be a real species, though.
Are they the only animal online?
Are they popular?
What sorts of content do they like to post?
Is social media a positive or negative experience for the animal overall?
Give it your best shot, it may not be the easiest award, but have a go and you might be pleasantly surprised.
Socially conscious fauna fiction.
Up to 700 rabbitproof words.
Due Sunday 19 June 2016. There are no time zone restrictions. As long as it is Sunday somewhere then you can enter.

All entries receive feedback from judges by request.
NEW COVER IMAGE RULES
A cover image is no longer a prerequisite, but we still love them. All cover images must be in 4:3 format landscape (not portrait). Most photo editing programs give you the option to crop in that size.. If you’re using your phone, try the Snapseed app, it has lots of cool features as well. Another recommendation is Pixlr.
If including a cover image, ensure that you own the rights to that image or that you have permission, or that the image carries a free license. Make the filename of the image the name of your story and include a backlink to the source in the body text at the bottom of your story.
(Optional) Intro – 150 characters
