Margaretha Geertruida “Margreet” Zelle (7 August 1876 – 15 October 1917), better known by the stage name Mata Hari, was a Dutch exotic dancer, courtesan, and accused spy who was executed by firing squad in France under charges of espionage for Germany during World War I.

Writing Prompt

Create a fictional obituary for a person of historical renown. It should be no longer than 300 words, however, you may embed hyperlinks within the words if you wish to point to external sites. This should be done creatively. The obituary should openly refute the accepted truth of the individual’s life in some manner.
