Ferdinand Holder was a 19th Century Swiss Painter of landscapes, portraits and figure composition.

For this award, compose a piece of fiction that explores the relationship between people and the landscapes they occupy. Look to consider the role of the landscape in the daily lives of your characters, as well as the impact on the environment, short and long term.

Also, you may want to consider the individual, and how our view of them is often skewed by the landscape that frames them.

The story can be any genre, provided the theme is met.
