Cartesian manages to positon the game as a 15 year old MMO made by games company ‘Buzzard’.

FANTASY SHORT STORY CONTEST GUIDELINES

In 800 words or less write  review of the fictional video game “Eastwick and Down,” where the player takes control of the unlikely Witch “Ursula DeMoor”

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS?

Ursula DeMoor is the video game’s protagonist. You are welcome to design her however you choose. You can also create a character for the review. I.E. You don’t need to give your personal feelings on the fictional game. You can inject personality of a character into the review.

WHERE SHOULD IT BE SET?

The world of Eastwick And Down should be informed by classic fatansy tales.

WHEN IS THE DUE DATE?

Entries are due on the 10th April for a 17 April 2015 Winner Announcement.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS?

It must be written in a review style. You may include a final score, or scores for things like gameplay, graphics, or what platforms it is available on.

  1. Hi, I just have a few questions about this contest –

    It says we’re allowed to create a character for the review, but are we allowed to create one for the game as well? In other words, am I allowed to have characters other than Ursula in this fictional game, or is it just her?

    Also, when you say it should be informed by ‘classic fantasy tales’, do you mean fairy tales, or something more along the lines of fantasy novels like Lord of the Rings or something?

      Yes you an create other characters for the game, you just can’t change the protagonist.

      Classic Fantasy Tales can mean both fairy tales and more epic style stories like LOTR.
